Minister Mitrović signs a Road Map Memorandum for the 5G network in Tirana

TIRANA/SARAJEVO, November 2 (FENA) - Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vojin Mitrović paid a working visit to Albania today on the occasion of the Digital Summit in Tirana, where he participated in the ministerial panel on the Digital Agenda for the Western Balkans.

Mitrović signed a Memorandum of Understanding on regional interoperability and trust services in the Western Balkans region and a Memorandum of Understanding on a roadmap for the 5G digital transformation of the six economies of the Western Balkans.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina supports regional economic development and cooperation of all six economies of the Western Balkans.

I would also like to point out that the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina is working intensively and hastily to lay the best possible foundations in terms of quality legislation, in line with best EU practices, to ensure that digital transformation processes are carried out and to monitor technological progress and development,” said Mitrović.

The Digital Summit of the Western Balkans is part of the Multiannual Action Plan for the Regional Economic Area, supported by regional leaders in Trieste 2017.

The Summit draws on the experience of high-level regional dialogue on digital transformation within the Berlin Process, stated the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH.
