SARAJEVO, June 25 (FENA) – A discussion on pressures on judicial office holders was held at the session of the Temporary Investigation Committee of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH).
Following the discussion, the Committee condemned the June 19, 2020 statement of the President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH, in which he ordered judicial officials not to cooperate with the Provisional Committee of Inquiry.
Satisfaction was expressed with the conclusions of the HJPC of June 24, 2020, which are in contradiction with that statement, and by which the stated prohibition is lifted.
The Provisional Committee of Inquiry remains fully committed to fulfilling the mandate assigned to that Committee by the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Public Relations Department of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
