SARAJEVO, May 4 (FENA) - FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić said that 'Corona law' needs to be adopted at today's extraordinary session of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament so that the government can address new measures that will follow.
“From four to six months, the law is enforceable, and then there will be new measures that are much more structured and are currently being worked on,” confirmed Novalić.
As the delegates expressed major dissatisfaction with the legal solutions during the discussion, he told them that "there is no theory built to adequately respond to the economic consequences of the pandemic" and that the "corona law" is only the first step in addressing emerging problems.
Among other things, the law stipulates that business entities are entitled to subsidy contributions in the amount of KM 244.85 per month for each employee starting from the calculation and payment of gross salary for April 2020 and every subsequent month, including the calculation and payment of salaries for the month after termination of the state of emergency.
“Also, the law provides a refund for March in a certain way,” added Novalić.
If the delegates pass the law, subsidizing the contributions for each employee will be done in such a way that for the pension and disability insurance will be spent 135,70 KM, for health insurance 97,35 KM and for unemployment 11,80 KM, if they have a drop in turnover of 20 percent for that month and more than the average turnover in January and February 2020.
Taking into account the consequences of the fall in income caused by the state of emergency, as well as that the obligation to adjust pensions, disability benefits, other social benefits and salaries will not be made in 2020, this law stipulates that maintaining the stability of certain payments at the achieved level (pensions, disability benefits and other social benefits) will be provided from savings within the FBiH budget for 2020.
