SARAJEVO, February 20 (FENA) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fahrudin Radončić, received today Director of the Migration, Asylum and Refugees Regional Initiative (MARRI) Sasko Kocev to discuss joint projects and cooperation in the field of migration.
Kocev introduced Radončić to MARRI's plans and priorities, emphasizing in particular the need to reform that initiative in order to work more efficiently and share information. He recalled that, through regional cooperation, MARRI members are coordinating an approach to reach European standards in the areas of migration, asylum, border control, trafficking in human beings, and the return and integration of refugees.
Radončić stressed the importance of a regional approach to addressing migration issues, and that BiH would continue to support the work of MARRI. He also stressed the need for joint action to treat migration more as a security issue, the BiH Ministry of Security announced.
