BANJA LUKA, January 13 (FENA) – Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency member Milorad Dodik announced today that he would reject any "misinterpretation" of the Reform Program agreement, as well as what is in line with the members of the Quinta countries and other BiH Presidency members.
“RS intends to make every decision related to military integration with NATO in a referendum so people can decide,” he said.
At a reception at Kozara barracks on the occasion of Orthodox Christmas celebration, Dodik reiterated that the stance of the RS is military neutrality, while the Bosniak and Croat political components advocate for NATO integration, which RS does not think should happen.
“The Reform Program that we submitted implies re-affirmation of the right to decide on this and that no decision on integration will happen without the BiH Presidency and the BiH Parliamentary Assembly. We haven't had that in any document so far. For several reasons, we cannot accept that we are moving towards NATO, and one of the basic is that we have had a negative experience. If we forget that they bombed us ... then we would justify these things,” Dodik said in his address at Kozara barracks in Banja Luka.
He said the Reform Program is not an ANP.
BiH Presidency member reiterated that the RS "will not border on the Drina River with Serbia" and that he will seek to pay more attention to exercises with the Serbian army, just as NATO and other exercises are planned.
He is convinced that there will be no instability in BiH and that terrorism is the only danger.
Dodik reiterated that January 9 remains "RS Day", even though the BiH Constitutional Court has clearly stated that it is unconstitutional.
BiH Deputy Minister of Defense Mirko Okolić said that cooperation of all peoples in BiH is necessary, even during the celebration of holidays, such as Christmas.
“Only in love and peace can we go ahead and create economic prosperity and carry out our tasks,” Okolić added.
