SARAJEVO, September 5 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency Member Šefik Džaferović spoke with the chairman of the Arbitration Tribunal for the dispute between the inter-entity demarcation line in Brčko, Ambassador John Clint Williamson.
The meeting, which was also attended by First Deputy High Representative and Brčko District Supervisor Michael Scanlan, was a chance to discuss the political-economic situation and the situation in the Brčko District and Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole.
Džaferović emphasized the importance of the Brčko District for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He emphasized the importance of the Brčko Arbitration Tribunal and the functioning of the Brcko District of BiH in accordance with the Arbitral Decision and expressed a firm commitment to preserving and enhancing the values on which the Brčko District of BiH was constituted and emphasized that it is an example of a well-functioning multiethnic community.
Ambassador Williamson thanked Džaferović for his support for his work and expressed satisfaction with his cooperation with the officials and institutions to preserve the stability and sustainability of the District.
“The institutions in the Brčko District are stable, but there is room for progress in the areas of good governance, infrastructure development and strengthening the economy,” said Williamson.
