SARAJEVO, 10 April (FENA) - Delegations of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) and the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) at today's meeting, held in the BiH Parliament, failed to find a solution regarding the composition of the BiH Council of Ministers.
The SDA Vice President Adil Osmanović said that the delegations did not delve into the distribution of the ministries, but that they discussed the issue of the number of ministers in the CoM from the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska.
“The previous practice was the principle of rotation between Bosniak, Serb and Croat representatives at the head of the Council of Ministers of BiH, and until now, if the head of the Council of Ministers was the chairman from the Serb people for example, as was the case with Nikola Špirić, then the SNSD and its coalition partners can count on two more ministries. We do not agree obviously when it comes to this issue,” Osmanović pointed out.
The SNSD Presidency member Staša Košarac said that the SNSD remains true to its position that the Council of Ministers of BiH is to formed on the basis of a model of three ministers from RS, and three from the ranks of the Bosniak people and three from the Croat people.
At the meeting, the SDA delegation argued that it was necessary to respect the BiH Constitution and that it should be understood as technical matter the submission of the First National Annual Plan to NATO and that the authorities of the state of BiH have assumed this obligation.
“The SNSD insists that this is unacceptable to them at this moment. So, it is left for us to further discuss this issue,” Osmanović added.
It is expected that SDA, SNSD and HDZ BiH meet in the coming week, where all open issues would once again be discussed.
