SARAJEVO, March 26 (FENA) - The United Nations office in Sarajevo is organizing a two-day conference with participants from 28 cities and municipalities to summarize the results of the first year of implementation of the "Dialogue for the Future" project.

The UN Coordinator for BiH Sezin Sinanoglu stressed that the conference will enable networking, as well as exchange of experiences and lessons learned in the implementation of activities within the project.

“Even more important is the second phase of the program, to spread it to other countries in the region, primarily Serbia and Montenegro. The program’s aim is to promote peace, social cohesion and trust through dialogue and cooperation,” pointed out Sinanoglu.

She also noted that the conference will give a chance to the project to continue with an active approach in designing support for local dialogues platforms in the process of institutionalizing the dialogue mechanism.

The "Dialogue for the Future" project is implemented by UNICEF, UNDP and UNESCO in partnership with the BiH Presidency, and is dedicated to creating a space for dialogue in order to promote social cohesion.

The project is funded by the United Nations office for peace building support.
