KULT: How much do we care about 700,000 young people in BiH?

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, August 12 (FENA) - Institute for Youth Development KULT marked August 12th, the International Youth Day by placing flags in the center of the city, from Sarajevo Children Square to Skenderija, with a message “How Much do we Care about Youth?”.

Goal is to draw attention to numerous challenges and difficult position of youth in BiH.

There are around 700 000 young people living in BiH, who are defined as persons at the age of 15-30 in the youth laws.

“We are talking about 700,000 young people mostly without jobs, unhappy with educational and health system, without opportunities to prove themselves and whose talent is not awarded. Young people do not feel safe in BiH, they do not see perspective, their future here and that is why they are leaving their country,” KULT stated.
