SARAJEVO, April 2 (FENA) - Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Vinko Puljić said at the Easter reception held today in Sarajevo that we need to love and build Bosnia and Herzegovina together so that everyone in it can feel safe and at home.
“In that spirit, I want these kinds of events to create an atmosphere that celebrates life,” said Cardinal Puljić in his address at the Priest's House of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese in Sarajevo.
However, he expressed concern over the large number of departures of BiH citizens from the country, who, as he said, have gotten bored with "constant tensions and bickering in public and political life" and because they have no chance of a decent life.
“In BiH, so many see that selves as believers, however, this belief is denied at every step, violating the basic commandments of God, and there is so much immorality, crime and corruption among the people,” he pointed out.
He concluded that we all want reconciliation, forgiveness and restoration of trust, but that this cannot come without truth and justice.
“Until each and every event is called by its real name, that crime is a crime, it is difficult to regain trust. All who justify crimes or deny them, they become accomplices of the crime,” he underlined.
“That is why I want to convey a message not only to believers, but also to all people, that every religious celebration strengthens a person in their hope and enables them to be more humane among the people,” said Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Vinko Puljić.
The reception was attended by the highest religious representatives and representatives of political, social and cultural life, as well as the representatives of international community in BiH.
