SARAJEVO, March 20 (FENA) - Members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH AF) have achieved enviable results in the Best Warrior Competition (BWC 2018) for the best soldier, non-commissioned officer and officer, organized by the Maryland National Guard (MDNG).
The competition was held from 15 to 18 March in Maryland (USA), and it was realized within the Military to Military State Partnership Program (M2M SPP) with the support of the US Embassy in Sarajevo’s Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC).
The BiH Armed Forces' team, which, despite the very strong competition, has achieved notable results and successfully presented the BiH AF, included Lieutenant-Colonel Marko Vidović, Corporal Matija Ivaković, Private Ermin Hajrić and team leader, Lieutenant-Colonel Dajana Dangubić.
During the four days of the competition, the BiH AF members had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, psycho-physical skills and abilities in ten disciplines, and compete with members of the Armed Forces of Estonia and the National Guard of Maryland.
Corporal Matija Ivaković won the first place in the category of NCOs, while in the overall ranking he won the third place.
The final award ceremony was attended by the Military Attaché of BiH in Washington, Colonel Zoran Batarilo, who congratulated the BiH AF members, the BiH Ministry of Defense PR Office stated.
