SARAJEVO, March 16 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency Member Bakir Izetbegović met today with Denis O'Donovan, Chairman of the Senate of the Republic of Ireland.
At the meeting, the two officials emphasized that the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ireland are friendly, in particular referring to the continued support of Ireland for the European path of BiH.
Despite the geographic distance between the two countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ireland share similar values but also challenges such as continued overcoming of conflicts and establishing peace and tolerance.
The two officials agreed that the political stability is a prerequisite for attracting investments and reducing the number of unemployed, which has been proven in Ireland to be the key to the country's economic development in the last decade.
Izetbegović and O’Donovan stressed the need to strengthen the cooperation of the two countries, particularly in the field of tourism.
