SARAJEVO, March 8 (FENA) - The CURE Foundation organized an activist walk in Sarajevo on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day, in order to draw attention to the lack of sensitivity for the problems that women face in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
An activist of the Foundation, Vildana Džekman, said that their goal was to point to institutional policies that perpetuate violation of women's rights.
“The problems that have not been dealt with yet include uneven and non-standardized maternity benefits, problems with the alimony fund, unevenness in the practice of medically assisted reproduction between the entities, discrimination and mobbing in the workplace, violation of the rights of marginalized groups of women, institutional problems of women with disabilities, and the lack of women in the process of constitutional reform," stressed Džekman.
The activist walk took place from the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, through the Marshal Tito Street ending at the Children of Sarajevo Square.
