SARAJEVO, March 8 (FENA) - Today, on the occasion of International Women's Day - March 8, the CURE Foundation organized a peace-activist march under the slogan "Determined women will save the world".

The gathering began at Susan Sontag Square in Sarajevo, from where they walked to the BiH Square.

Medina Mujić from the Cure Foundation told journalists that they represent all women in Bosnia and Herzegovina who in any way, individually or collectively, resist the patriarchy and the learned negative traditional norms of behavior that place women in an unequal position in the public sphere of action.

"Traditionally, we celebrate this holiday on the streets," said Mujić.

Through this year's slogan, the Foundation stated, they are saying that they are determined to take power and save the world from policies that undermine global security, freedom and rights established on the basis of democratic laws, resolutions, conventions and protocols.

In addition, they say, they are determined to stop the violence and emphasize that they know they are on the right side of history.
