DUBROVNIK, Feb 3 (FENA) – On Saturday, the Festivity of Saint Blaise, the Dubrovnik's patron saint was celebrated by a Mass and a procession
The event was attended by senior state officials, including envoys of the president, the speaker of parliament and the minister of culture, local government officials, foreign diplomats and other guests, including a government minister from neighbouring Montenegro.
The 1046th feast started on Friday with the traditional release of white doves and the raising of the patron saint's flag in front of Saint Blaise's Church. It closes on Sunday with the lowering of the flag, a procession and Mass.
The Festivity of Saint Blaise was included in the UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2009.
