SARAJEVO, January 19 (FENA) – Chairman of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Senad Šepić, Deputy Chairperson Borjana Krišto and members of the Delegation Mladen Bosić, Milica Marković, Damir Arnaut and Saša Magazinović will participate in the First part of the regular session of the PACE, which will be held in Strasbourg from January 22 to 26 this year.
As announced, a commissioner of the Council of Europe for Human Rights will be chosen during the session, and among the candidates is for the first time a person from BiH, Ms. Dunja Mijatović.
Also, the participants of the meeting in Strasbourg will discuss the respecting of commitments and involvement of BiH as a member state of the Council of Europe.
According to the agenda, the participants of the First part of the regular session of the PACE will discuss the humanitarian consequences of the war in Ukraine, the protection of children affected by armed conflicts, as well as the protection and promotion of regional and minority languages in Europe.
It has been announced that there will also be discussions on the judicial immunity of international organizations and the rights of their staff, the European Convention on the Profession of Lawyer, as well as the strengthening of international regulations prohibiting trade in products used for torture and death penalty.
The five-day session will also include a discussion on the framework for modern sports management and good football management, the BiH PA stated.
