SARAJEVO, January 16 (FENA) – The Railways of Federation of BiH signed today an agreement with company Step d.d. Sarajevo, which offered the best prerequisites on the international public call for carrying out works on electrification of part of the Una railway from Blatna to Bihać in length of 47 kilometers.
The contract is worth 2,260,983.50 KM before VAT, the deadline for the completion of works is 75 days and the project is supported by the FBiH Government and the RS Railways.
After the completion of works, FBiH Railways will reintroduce after 27 years the rail passenger transport between Sarajevo and Bihać, with no other than “BH train”.
By implementing this project, the FBiH Railways fulfill their goal, which is to connect all major BiH companies into a unified railway passenger network, which will also enable new development projects that will serve the BiH citizens and economy, stated the FBiH Railways PR Department.
