SARAJEVO, January 12 (FENA) - Deciding upon the Prosecution Motion to order the Suspect Adis Abaz into custody, on 10 January 2018, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rendered the Decision partially granting the Prosecution motion and ordering the Suspect Adis Abaz into custody, on grounds of Article 132 (1) (b) of the CPC of BIH (a justified risk that if at liberty the Suspect might influence witnesses and accomplices or hinder the criminal proceedings by destroying, hiding, altering or forging evidence or clues relevant to the criminal proceedings). According to the decision, custody may last one month, more precisely, until 9 February 2018 or a new decision of the Court.
Under the said Decision, the Prosecution motion to order the Suspect Adis Abaz into custody on grounds of Article 132(1)(a) of the CPC of BIH (existence of circumstances that suggest the risk of flight) is refused as unfounded.
Adis Abaz is suspected of the criminal offense Organized Crime in violation of Article 250 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina as read with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Arms and Military Equipment in violation of Article 193(1) of the CC of BiH.
