SARAJEVO, September 4 (FENA) – The rapid growth in the number of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles operating at lower altitudes represents the biggest new challenge to the security and resilience of European airspace over the next five years, Major General Karsten Stoye, Head of EUROCONTROL’s Civil-Military Cooperation Division and military adviser to the organization’s Director General, who is taking part in the Sarajevo Security Conference (SSC 2026), said in an interview with FENA.
