SARAJEVO, August 27 (FENA) – These days mark 837 years since the issuance of the Charter of Kulin Ban. This document confirms the near-thousand-year statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, in the medieval period, existed as an independent banate and kingdom. A project for a monument entitled 'Kulin, Bosnian Ban' will also be presented in Sarajevo on Friday. At the same time, historian Admir Lisica believes that August 29, the date the Charter was issued, should be a national holiday due to its significance as a state and diplomatic document.
