SARAJEVO, May 5 (FENA) – The Sarajevo Canton Assembly, at the proposal of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, adopted amendments to the laws on internal affairs and police officers, as well as a new law on the acquisition, possession and carrying of weapons. The changes introduce an auxiliary police force and a Helicopter Unit, accelerate the recruitment and promotion of police officers, and tighten regulations on weapons in line with EU standards.
