Bosnia and Herzegovina urged to sign AEWA to better protect wetlands and migratory birds

SARAJEVO, February 1 (FENA) – The theme of this year’s World Wetlands Day, “Wetlands and Traditional Knowledge: Celebrating Cultural Heritage,” serves as a reminder that wetlands have for centuries been the foundation of life, culture and traditions of local communities, the Ornithological Society “Our Birds” said, announcing that it will send an initiative to the competent ministries to sign the AEWA agreement in order to preserve wetlands and waterbirds, which are the shared heritage of all European and Asian countries.
