Stronger legal protection for women and children: Major reforms to FBiH Criminal Code take effect

TUZLA, October 5 (FENA) – As of August 9, 2025, amendments to the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have entered into force, which experts consider the most extensive since 2003. A prosecutor with the Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton, Selma Kišić, emphasizes that these changes introduce a unified legal framework for the protection of victims of violence, especially women, children, and families.
