Aonghus Kelly: Justice as the foundation for peace from the Balkans to Ukraine

SARAJEVO, September 28 (FENA) – Irish lawyer Aonghus Kelly, one of the leading international experts on war crimes and transitional justice, spoke at the Sarajevo Security Conference about the importance of dealing with the past for long-term peace and security. His career spans work on cases in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Cambodia, Iraq, and Ukraine, where, as part of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM), he assists prosecutors in documenting crimes committed during the Russian invasion.
