CBAM – A challenge and opportunity for faster industrial development

SARAJEVO, July 31 (FENA) – Starting from January 1, 2026, new regulations will come into effect that will significantly impact Bosnian and Herzegovinian exporters to the European Union. The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) will become mandatory for all exporters from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU. CBAM is a regulatory tool through which the EU imposes taxes on imports from countries that do not have a functioning CO₂ emissions trading system (ETS).
