Nikšić: Government of FBiH unveils plan to restore energy stability

FENA Press release, Photo: Archive

SARAJEVO, April 28 (FENA) – The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, once a stable producer of electricity, is now at times becoming a net importer — a situation that experts and officials deem unacceptable. A 23 percent drop in electricity production over the past four years is the result of decades of neglect, crises in coal mines, and outdated thermal power plants. The problem has escalated, and the Government of the Federation of BiH insists the energy sector must be urgently repaired.
