MOSTAR, April 8 (FENA) – The official opening of the 26th International Economy Fair, one of the most important economic events in the region, began on Tuesday in Mostar. The fair will run until Saturday, April 12.
This year’s edition of the fair gathers around 800 exhibitors from about 30 countries, and all available exhibition spaces are filled. Italy is the partner country, with its exhibitors represented in a 400-square-meter joint space, focusing on the agricultural-food sector, industrial equipment, and cultural heritage.
In her opening speech, the Fair’s Director Dalfina Bošnjak emphasized the importance of this event for the entire region. She pointed out that the presence of numerous officials and visitors confirms the significance of the event "for the common good of our people and the benefit of all participants in this economic and entrepreneurial project."
She expressed satisfaction that this year’s partner country is Italy, one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most significant economic partners, with trade exchanges reaching nearly five billion KM. She also added that Bosnia and Herzegovina is the largest importer from Italy, and that this fair represents an opportunity to further strengthen these ties.
Bošnjak announced a rich program in the coming days, including numerous thematic conferences, expert meetings, and round tables.
''We live in times of great economic crises and challenges, but let this not discourage us. Positive stories like the Mostar Fair, which has been running for over a quarter of a century, help ease relations between people,'' said Bošnjak.
The fair serves as a platform for connecting entrepreneurs, exchanging knowledge, promoting investments, and establishing business collaborations.
In addition to the exhibition, the program includes various conferences, expert gatherings, and business meetings between domestic and foreign companies. The fair also offers a rich cultural and entertainment program, with musical performances, art exhibitions, fashion shows, and tastings of traditional products such as wine, cheese, and prosciutto.
The Mostar Fair in 2025 once again confirms its role as an important regional economic hub and a meeting place for key figures from the worlds of business and culture.
