German Federal Government: Schmidt's appointment as High Representative is legal

SARAJEVO, March 10 (FENA) - The German Federal Government responded to a 'Small inquiry' in early March regarding the role of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt. From the perspective of the German Federal Government, the appointment of Christian Schmidt as High Representative, succeeding Valentin Inzko, was legally carried out by the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC), which is solely responsible for this, on May 27, 2021, with 54 out of 55 possible votes.
