SARAJEVO, January 19 (FENA) – The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) under the U.S. Department of the Treasury has imposed sanctions on 13 individuals, including five persons (and one company) who played a role in the efforts of Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik and his family to enrich themselves at the public's expense. The remaining eight individuals were sanctioned for organizing and implementing the celebration of the unconstitutional Republika Srpska Day in January 2024, following Dodik’s orders, which violated the principles of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the rulings of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which declared the date unconstitutional.
