Believers burn the Yule log in the courtyard of the Old Orthodox Church in Sarajevo on Christmas Eve

SARAJEVO, January 6 (FENA) – The Christian Orthodox believers lit the Yule log tonight in the courtyard of the Old Church of St. Archangels Michael and Gabriel in Sarajevo, on the eve of the most joyous Christian holiday – Christmas, thus marking the beginning of Christmas Eve celebrations. Evening services, the blessing, and the laying of the Yule log were held in the churchyard.
