SARAJEVO, December 11 (FENA) – Opera singer Goran von Karkin will mark 30 years of his career with the concert “Sing, Because Only Happy People Sing” on December 19 at the Bosnian Cultural Center in Tuzla.
This concert also serves as the beginning of his world tour under the same name, “Sing, Because Only Happy People Sing.”
Maestro Karkin has promised a spectacular performance featuring compositions, renowned opera arias, Neapolitan chansons, and traditional Bosnian songs with piano accompaniments composed specifically for him by Bosnian composer Asim Horozić.
Goran von Karkin will perform accompanied by pianist Darko Domitrović, with additional guest performers appearing at the concert.
"Darko Domitrović has been my pianist for 25 years. He is a composer and professor at the Music Academy in Zagreb and the husband of Sandra Bagarić, who is also celebrating 30 years of her career. We were both in the same class under Ljiljana Molnar," said Goran von Karkin.
The concert will also feature renowned Croatian cellist Ana Rucner as a guest. There is a possibility, depending on circumstances, for other guests and friends of Goran von Karkin to join the performance.
As for tour plans, Goran von Karkin mentioned a concert in Vienna in 2025 and a performance in Dubai.
"I’ve already sung Aida in Dubai this year. I often return there and, unfortunately, feel more at home there than in Tuzla," he emphasized.
