Milićević Šečić: With its inclusion on UNESCO's list, Sevdalinka joins the world's cultural mosaic

SARAJEVO, December 4 (FENA) - One of the agenda items of the 19th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which is being held in Asunción, Paraguay, from December 2 to 7, is the inclusion of Sevdalinka on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, which is expected to happen today. While waiting for Sevdalinka to be added to this list, the FBiH Ministry of Culture and Sports, which is the lead body in the preparation of the nomination document for Sevdalinka’s inclusion, shared the joy of this decision with the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
