International observers: Local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina lacked genuine public engagement

SARAJEVO, October 7 (FENA) - The local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, held on Sunday, were efficiently prepared with respect for fundamental freedoms, following extensive amendments to electoral legislation imposed by the High Representative to enhance the integrity of the electoral process, despite insufficient efforts to promote public engagement, international observers said today in Sarajevo, presenting a joint statement on preliminary findings and conclusions.
