SARAJEVO, April 19 (FENA) - A professor of Philosophy and Genocide and Holocaust Studies at Southern Connecticut State University and member of the Board of Directors of the Yale University Genocide Study Program, David Pettigrew, assessed in an interview with FENA that the resolution proposing to declare July 11 as International Day of Remembrance of the Genocide in Srebrenica, represents an important contribution to the culture of memory and a "beacon of hope" for the right to memorialization and transitional justice.
