TRAVNIK, July 27 (FENA) - The Secretary of the Office for European Integration, Funds, Public Relations and International Standard of the Central Bosnia Canton, Muhamed Softić, has been detained in Greece on charges of trafficking in human beings.
The CBC Prime Minister Tahir Lendo (SDA) informed the cantonal government of this information today, who said that he also requested official information from the state Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"We don't have official information either. We received unofficial information that he was detained and accused of illegal trafficking in people, migrants and refugees, and that he is in some kind of process in Greece. From that side, I, as Prime Minister, requested an official document from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH to get the official status of our secretary of the Office for European Integration, and we expect to receive the information soon," said Lendo.
Today, the government also appointed a temporary acting secretary of the Office.
"Today we had to appoint a civil servant who will coordinate in the Office for European Integration until his status is resolved," Lendo added.
The prime minister said at the session that Softić was detained at the Greek border while going on vacation in that country.
