BRUSSELS, July 20 (FENA) - Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zukan Helez participated in the fifth meeting of the Stabilization and Association Council between BiH and the European Union in Brussels on Wednesday.
The meeting was chaired by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, and Olivér Várhelyi, Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, represented the European Commission.
The BiH delegation was led by the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers Borjana Krišto, and along with Minister Helez, the delegation included the Deputy Chairperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac, Director of the European Integration Directorate Edin Dilberović and representatives of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the BiH Mission to the EU.
Minister Helez spoke about the efforts that are being made to reach a consensus in the current complex political moment in BiH and to make progress for the benefit of all who live in BiH.
Helez particularly pointed to the secessionist activities of the president of the BiH entity Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the National Assembly of the RS. All EU officials who participated in the meeting agreed with Helez's position.
