Red weather alert issued for all parts of BiH until July 19 due to extremely high air temperatures

SARAJEVO, July 17 (FENA) - The FBiH Hydrometeorological Institute (FHMZ) has issued a red alert for Bosnia and Herzegovina due to extremely high air temperatures.

Weather information services in both parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina have issued a red weather alert for the period until 19 June due to extremely high temperature that is expected in the country.

The Hydrometeorological Institute of the Federation of BiH issued a daily warning that lasts from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. as of today until July 19.

“The highest daily air temperature will mostly range between 34 and 40 degrees Celsius,” according to the weather alert.

Citizens are recommended to adhere to the measures prescribed by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) for such meteorological conditions.

According to the weather services, a major weather change is not expected before July 24.
