SARAJEVO, July 13 (FENA) - A member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, spoke with the Ambassador of the United States of America to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Michael Murphy, about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bećirović pointed out to Ambassador Murphy the seriousness of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, caused by the anti-constitutional and anti-Dayton decisions of the authorities of the entity of RS.
He emphasized that the authorities from the RS have continuously, systematically and institutionally attacked the fundamental provisions of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thereby endangering peace and security in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.
Ambassador Murphy said that the United States, as a witness to the Dayton Peace Agreement, will continue to support the preservation of independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He stressed that the citizens and peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina should have functional, efficient and responsible institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bećirović pointed out that the current circumstances in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region and Europe require and justify a stronger engagement of the United States of America with the aim of speeding up the necessary reforms in the Euro-Atlantic integration process, the BiH Presidency announced.
