SARAJEVO, July 7 (FENA) - The Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama, is on a working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he was met at the Sarajevo International Airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković.

Rama first met with the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, and after that a meeting was held between the delegations of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Albania.

The Albanian Prime Minister's visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina is part of his Balkan tour, which also includes visits to Skopje, Priština, Belgrade and Podgorica.

As reported by the media, Rama is discussing the crisis in Kosovo, the "Open Balkans" initiative and the Berlin process with the prime ministers of the region.

The Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto pointed out after the meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama and the meeting of the delegations of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Albania that they discussed good and friendly relations between the two countries and their future consolidation.

According to her, the relations between the two countries are without any open issues, with the emphasis that they should be further strengthened in the future, "both our relations and our regional cooperation, and certainly our bilateral cooperation".

"This cooperation should be through the intensification of talks on the institutional level, as well as through political dialogue. I hope and am convinced that today's visit by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama will contribute to and improve our relations," said Krišto.

She added that she informed the guests about the current political situation and relations in BiH, especially from the aspect of functioning, and the competence of the institution of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama, said that they want to strengthen relations between the two countries and that they are working to open the embassy of the Republic of Albania in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He noted that a certain number of members of the Albanian nation live in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and there are also Bosniaks in Albania "who are guaranteed freedom and all other rights that belong to one community or a nation".

"It is no secret that we protect the interests of Kosovo and we also want to achieve freedom of movement with the Berlin process, as well as for the citizens of Kosovo who encounter difficulties and that this would be free movement only with an ID card. I hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina, following the example of the Republic of Serbia, will sign such an agreement with us," said Rama.

He says that he came to Sarajevo to inform the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers about the details of the Berlin summit that will be held in October in Tirana.
