ORAŠJE, July 6 (FENA) - The Chair of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, and the Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenković, solemnly opened the Consulate of the Republic of Croatia in Orašje today, stating that this is significant event, which is a testimony to the good relations between Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Krišto stated that the opening of this consulate makes it easier and faster to provide consular services to all those who live in the area of Bosnian Posavina.

"I don't see this opening only through the issuing of personal documents that serve to realize certain rights of each individual in terms of obtaining personal documents. I want to say that this is more than that, that it is the result of cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia both culturally and economically," said Krišto.

She added that she is extremely happy and proud because of the opening of another consulate and that Posavina and Orašje received the diplomatic status after the consulates in Vitez and Livno were opened.

She expressed the hope that this consulate will also contribute to the consolidation of good and friendly relations between BiH and Croatia, especially ties on the economic level in the interest of everyone who lives on one and the other side of the border.

"I would like to thank Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and the Government of the Republic of Croatia for the continuous wholehearted help they provide, above all to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European and Euro-Atlantic path, and also through help to our local communities in the area of the entire BiH through various aspects and segments of social life - from culture, sports, education, infrastructural projects, to helping our associations, even through humanitarian forms of assistance," said Krišto.
