SARAJEVO, July 4 (FENA) – Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein ef. Kavazović received today the High Representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt.
The High Representative expressed interest in the upcoming commemoration of the 28th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.
Raisu-l-ulama noted that it is extremely important that all public events in Bosnia and Herzegovina take place in a peaceful and dignified atmosphere.
The High Representative informed the Raisu-l-ulama that he plans to visit Rabrane near Neum as well as Mostar and talk with local representatives of the Islamic Community, as well as local authorities.
The interlocutors expressed their belief that the recent interventions of the High Representative contributed to calming down the general political and security situation in Bosnia Herzegovina, MINA reported.
