SARAJEVO, July 4 (FENA) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Federation of BiH Toni Kraljević announced today at a press conference that the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed a revision of this year's budget of the FBiH in the amount of 6,937,563,355 KM.
Speaking about the reasons for amending the budget, he pointed out that the inconsistency of the economic codes in the budget for 2023 required an urgent revision in order to free up certain funds.
"That is not the only reason for revising the budget. Namely, during the amendments to the Law on Social Protection and the Law on Civilian Victims of War and the Law on the Protection of Families with Children, no one looked at the fiscal impact. A total of 160 million KM was planned for non-war disability benefits.
However, if we had not supplemented that same amount with 67 million KM for non-war disability benefits, their payment would not be guaranteed. This is one of the most important aspects of this revision," emphasized Kraljević.
Along with this act, the accompanying document, amendments and additions to the Law on the Execution of the FBiH Budget for 2023, were adopted.
He also stated that today the Government of FBiH, on the proposal of the collegium and the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Nermin Nikšić, made a decision according to which this year it has waived the purchase of new vehicles in the amount of two million KM, and that money, as he says, will be redirected to the treatment of children suffering from cystic fibrosis.
