SARAJEVO, July 4 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković met today with a high-level delegation of the People's Republic of China led by Ambassador Wu Hongbo, the special representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs.
Konaković extended a warm welcome to the high-ranking guest and the delegation and highlighted the traditionally good relations between the People's Republic of China and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized satisfaction with the return of the European Union's focus on events in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is noted after the activities on the current BiH political scene.
He pointed out that the changes that have taken place in recent months are very important for Bosnia and Herzegovina on its way to the EU and that current political events in the country are currently being intensively directed towards improving the security situation, which is a condition for more comprehensive development and prosperity.
The interlocutors agreed that politics and economy are inextricably linked and that the intensification of diplomatic activities paves the way for all other segments of cooperation.
Ambassador Wu Hongbo emphasized respect for the sovereignty and integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and China's willingness to continue to provide comprehensive support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its development path and the path toward the European Union.
He stated that in addition to the development projects that the Government of China is implementing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, there is room for intensifying cooperation through the development of tourism offers between the two countries, educational projects, technical and technological projects, projects for the development of infrastructure and the expansion of business contacts, announced the Press Service of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
