SARAJEVO, June 20 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, spoke today with the representative of the European Investment Bank (EIB) for BiH and Montenegro, Sandrine Friscia, and the EIB loan officer for Western Balkans Branko Ćevriz.
FBiH Minister of Transport and Communications Andrijana Katić and FBiH Minister of Tourism and Environment Nasiha Pozder attended the meeting, too.
This was an opportunity to discuss the implementation of previous projects and the possibility of new projects, and the officials noted that the cooperation so far has been very good, as well as that there is interest in its continuation.
Prime Minister Nikšić recalled that thanks to projects with EIB and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as two key financial organizations, 62 kilometers of the motorway were built during his first mandate, but many other projects were also launched.
"I hope we will make that momentum now, but also continue with the current and some new projects. We will do everything to enhance cooperation to an even higher level," said the FBiH Prime Minister.
EIB representatives said that they are interested in projects in the field of road infrastructure, especially railways, as well as highway projects on Corridor Vc but also when it comes to main roads. In addition to existing projects, the EIB is also interested in additional projects in the field of environmental protection and energy.
