SARAJEVO, June 16 (FENA) – BiH Presidency member, Denis Bećirović, said today that the latest statement by the president of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, about the siege of Sarajevo is another in a series of his attempts to deceive, misinform the public, following the example of the worst propagandists from the 20th century.
"However, they certainly cannot erase the facts and judgments of the United Nations courts. The siege of Sarajevo began on April 5, 1992, and lasted 1,425 days. During the brutal siege of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 11,541 citizens of Sarajevo were killed, among them 1,601 children. These are the facts," he underlined.
In a press release, Bećirović states that criminals killed Sarajevo's children, older people, women and citizens of Sarajevo, as evidenced by numerous graves of innocently murdered Sarajevo residents around the city.
"That is why Dodik and his followers will never be able to dispute that Sarajevo defended itself and that the idea of living together and the multi-ethnic capital of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina won," emphasized Bećirović.
He said that his targeted and immoral denial of the crimes committed against the civilians of the BiH capital is based on the ideology of evil, which unfortunately lives on today, and which led some of Dodik's predecessors behind bars.
