SARAJEVO, June 7 (FENA) - The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted at a session last evening the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Value Added Tax, which was proposed by 15 MPs and provides for the abolition of tax on donated food.

In order for it to enter into force, it needs to be approved by the House of Peoples, so with a separate conclusion, it was initiated that this House also considers this legal act under an urgent procedure.

Along with the Bill, the conclusion proposed by MP Sanja Vulić was accepted, that the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) should use clear procedures to prevent any misuse related to donated food.

In contrast to those decisions, the initiative of representatives Milan Dunović, Zlatan Begić and Vlatko Glavaš on the declaration of May 25 as a day of mourning in Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the massacre against the youth of Tuzla in 1995, was sent to the second round of voting by the House of Representatives.

Namely, this initiative did not receive the entity's majority of votes. Previously, during the debate, individuals from the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats called on the other members of the state parliament from Republika Srpska not to support it, as they will not.

The Huse rejected thr report on the realization of BHRT's program for last year, as well as the program plans of that media house for 2023, but sent it to the second round of voting, while the proposal of representative Sanja Vulić to form a temporary investigative commission to determine the situation in BHRT was rejected.

The report on last year's work of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina also did not receive the required majority of votes, in contrast to the approved report on the results of the activities of the Institution of Ombudsman for Human Rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the same annual period.
