SARAJEVO, June 1 (FENA) - The USAID "Diaspora Invest" project, in cooperation with local partners, today announced a call for a Roster of experts from the BiH diaspora, which will be open until June 20. The call is aimed at identifying export brokers and other professionals who, with their expertise, can improve the businesses of domestic companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The USAID Diaspora Invest Project aims to leverage the potential of the BiH diaspora to promote socio-economic development in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through various interventions, the project aims to engage local communities with the diaspora, mobilize diaspora investment and knowledge transfer, and stimulate economic growth.
As part of this initiative, the project is seeking expressions of interest from the Bosnian and Herzegovinian diaspora to participate as experts in supporting entrepreneurship, business development, and export capabilities in the country.
The program seeks diaspora experts who can provide guidance and assistance to Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in several areas, including business strategy, financial management, sales and marketing, supply chain and operations support, research and development, information technology, human resources, communications, sector and industry analysis, and export opportunities assistance.
Experts will actively engage in activities such as knowledge-sharing sessions, market research, site visits, online meetings, and providing actionable recommendations to supported MSMEs.
Selected participants will actively assist at least one MSME in Bosnia and Herzegovina, dedicating a minimum of 16 hours of comprehensive assistance. The project will provide support through an online orientation session, individualized plan development, mentorship/assistance agreement, mapping and matching of local companies, co-financing of travel expenses, travel health insurance, logistical support, facilitated communication and practice, and more.
To be eligible, individuals must be members of the BiH diaspora and possess expertise and experience in relevant business development areas. They should commit to actively participating in the program and be available for various activities. The application deadline is June 20, 2023. In the next five years, it is expected that more than 100 companies will benefit from these activities, and the USAID Diaspora Invest project says that they will create a sustainable model that will be able to be used by local partners in the future, announced the USAID Diaspora Invest Project.
