SARAJEVO, June 1 (FENA) - COM EUFOR Major General Helmut Habermayer is conducting meetings with representatives of the entity of Republika Srpska on June 1 and June 2 in Banja Luka.

“Under my command, EUFOR continues to work in close cooperation with our partners and supports them in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens of BiH," Habermayer explained.

EUFOR is conducting its tasks in an impartial manner. After having met with BiH State Level Authorities and representatives of the Federation of BiH, I will meet with the RS President Milorad Dodik, the RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković, the RSNA Speaker Nenad Stevandić and the RS Director of Police Siniša Kostrešević.”

A clear sign of EUFOR’s partnership with all citizens of BiH is the continuous presence of EUFOR on the level of the municipalities via its LOT Houses.

Habermayer added that EUFOR has recently returned to its original scheme of patrolling all over BiH to demonstrate its commitment to all the citizens of BiH.

The partnership between AF BiH and EUFOR is expressed by using BiH installations as Temporary Staging Areas (TSAs) for EUFOR troops going on patrols all over the country.

TSAs and patrolling routes are chosen by the principle of impartiality. Habermayer stated that EUFOR is committed to also continuing the combined training with the AF BiH, thus broadening its experiences and capabilities to obtain advanced interoperability.

"EUFOR is a capable and reliable partner to the BiH Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and the Police Forces of both entities and Brčko District. LEAs and Police Bodies are maintaining SASE and EUFOR will continuously support them in doing so," Habermayer stated.
