SARAJEVO, May 25 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina handed over the symbolic chairmanship of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative to neighboring Croatia last night.

"Tonight we symbolically ended BiH presidency of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative. Croatia assumes this very important position today. The Adriatic-Ionian Initiative platform is quite helpful for us. The exchange of experiences of the candidates for membership in the European Union, through this type of cooperation, has proven to be very effective," BiH Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković told FENA.

He said that some results have already been seen in the meetings with EU foreign ministers.

"We wish Croatia all the best. We also had many dear guests and tonight they have the opportunity to enjoy the farewell event," Konaković told FENA.
