SARAJEVO, May 23 (FENA) - In the first four months of 2023 (January-April), exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to five billion and 799 million KM, which is 1.8 percent more than in the period January-April 2022.
In the same period, imports amounted to eight billion and 795 million KM, which is 1.4 percent more than in the same period of the previous year.
The imports-exports ratio amounted to 65.9 percent, while the foreign trade deficit of BiH amounted to two billion and 996 million KM, according to the data of the Statistics Agency of BiH.
Exports to CEFTA countries in the four months of 2023 amounted to one billion and 105 million KM, which is 0.5 percent more than in the same period of 2022, while imports amounted to one billion and 14 million KM, which is 5.6 percent more percent less than in the same period last year.
The imports-exports ratio to CEFTA countries was 108.9 percent.
Exports to European Union countries in the period January-April 2023 amounted to four billion and 277 million KM, which is 1.8 percent less than in the same period in 2022, while imports amounted to five billion and 211 million KM, which is by 6.6 percent more than in the same period of the previous year. The imports-exports ratio to EU countries was 82.1 percent, stated the BiH Statistics Agency.
